Support Lalit Modi!

Wrote a comment on http://www.supportlalitmodi.org which I don’t think will pass through moderation. To ensure the text doesn’t die an instant death, I paste it here!

Lalit Modi did the unthinkable. He successfully meshed the two most mesmerising industries in India in such a manner that you couldn’t point one from the other. Bollywood stars owned cricket teams and eloquently elucidated the Indian crowds on how one has to play cricket. Who knew we had expert analysts waiting to be unearthed in the entertainment industry?! For 3 seasons, we have been floored by the immense knowledge of politicians, industrialists and film stars on India’s most loved Sport and we have just Lalit Modi to thank for it. It doesn’t matter if the talents surfaced from IPL failed in International levels, that is the problem of BCCI nurturing its players. Lalit Modi made a few extra crores from all the dealings, but why should we care? Isn’t he the highest tax payer in the country? I feel our media and countrymen have been led astray. Lalit Modi is the saviour of the country. All the country needs right now is not Lalit Modi, the IPL commissioner, but Lalit Modi, the President of India. Let him lead India into becoming a capitalist society. I am sure he cares so much about the country. [Could there be a bigger NOT joke?]
